Developing spaces that are easy to navigate, reference a locality’s identity and feel safe is crucial to the design process. It is important to use cues in the spatial arrangement of a place in conjunction with formal signage elements to enhance legibility, appropriate hierarchy of spaces, visual and physical connections and ease of wayfinding for users of a space.
